Open-Plan Living and Family-Friendly Design
This wrap-around extension in Bishopston demonstrates how architectural design in Bristol can completely transform a dated home. As an architect in Bristol, I designed a light-filled, functional space that enhances daily life and social living.
Project Overview
The old layout of small, disconnected rooms was replaced with a continuous open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area. Skylights above the kitchen island and large bifold doors to the garden bring natural light throughout the day. The layout was carefully mapped in detailed architectural plans to maximise both comfort and functionality.

Contemporary, Functional Design
Exposed beams within the pitched roof add warmth and character. The central kitchen island creates a hub for family interaction, illustrating how architect plans for a home extension can make spaces both practical and stylish.
