Modern Design for Light, Flow, and Family Living
This Henleaze project demonstrates how thoughtful architectural design in Bristol can transform a detached home into a bright, practical, and welcoming family space. As an architect in Bristol, I focused on creating an extension that balances style, functionality, and natural light.
Project Overview
The single-storey rear extension features a pitched roof with skylights, bringing daylight deep into the kitchen, dining, and living areas. Bifold doors open onto the garden, creating a seamless connection between indoors and outdoors. The garage was converted into a utility room and bathroom, improving flow and usability while maintaining the property’s character.
Open-Plan Layout
The ground floor layout was reimagined to create a flexible, open-plan space ideal for everyday living and entertaining. Detailed architectural plans ensured every square metre was used efficiently, demonstrating how architects plans for a house extension can maximise light, space, and comfort.
